场外外汇交易在香港受到香港证监会的监管，经营外汇交易的券商以及行业从业人员需要获得香港证监会颁发的合法牌照。在中国，外汇交易仍被定义为非法。
由于香港与中国大陆接近的因素，众多无牌公司会选择在香港向内地投资者推销外汇交易。今日下午，香港证监会发来邮件称一批新的涉嫌无牌经营的公司以及非法网站遭到香港证监会警告，包括涉嫌非法提供证券、期货、外汇交易等。
其中有一些公司会冒充尚未进入中国的海外公司，非法向香港及中国大陆投资者提供相关交易服务。从此次的名单中，不难发现这些公司冒充澳洲经纪商IC Markets、丹麦经纪商Saxo Bank、日本经纪商GMO为投资者提供交易服务。
